 After three years the KAZSEFF implementation team has concluded the first phase of project implementation. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is currently reviewing the program and it is expected that a new designed Facility will re-start early next year. | In recent years KAZSEFF organised conferences on industrial modernisation and energy efficiency in almost all regions of Kazakhstan. As a result 25 projects have been prepared and are expected to save annually approx. 320 GWh of energy fuel oil equivalent, equal to 27 million kg of crude oil or the energy consumption of 120 000 households. Annual savings in greenhouse gas emissions are equivalent to 120 flights around the world with a Boeing 737 aircraft. | |
| KAZSEFF activities during the last three years included training of bank officers, regular meetings with equipment suppliers and business associations, contacts to government institutions as well as to NGOs. |  |
| Capacity building and skill transfer in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy was an important goal in the framework of the facility. In recent years a group of young engineers were trained and encouraged to establish a specialized consulting company, LLP Energy Partner. Since 2009 this company was part of the implementation team to perform energy assessments and support project development on various stages. | |
| Energy partner offers energy audits for industrial enterprises and commercial buildings.
